Fire at Dow Chemical Facility in Louisiana

Explosions and blaze reported on Friday at Dow's Gylcol 2 Unit in Plaquemine that produces ethylene oxide.

A fire that broke out on Friday, July 14 at a Dow Chemical facility in Louisiana that produces ethylene oxide has been extinguished. The fire occurred at Dow's Gylcol 2 Unit in Plaquemine, one of four operated by the company in the state. The “remaining small” fire was extinguished early on July 16, according to officials.
